#merMay trifold gate card with Lawn Fawn Mermaids
Hi, all! I’m back with another card making card. This time, I decided to go with a trifold card in the honor of #merMay, and I have used the beautiful Mermaids stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I got also a chance again to use the ZIG clean watercolor brush markers and to test out a lot of color combinations. I love the classy blonde haired mermaids and the purple version is just fun.
The trifold card I have taken the example of Jennifer McGuire, and used one of my borders dies. Many thanks to Jennifer McGuire for showing an innovative way to use border dies.

#merMay
This year challenge in the month of May is to draw or color everyday images that represent mermaids or lives of mermaids. I did not participate in the everyday challenge, but I wanted to use my pretty stamp set.
Stamping and watercolor
I started stamping on an A4 piece of Canson Montval watercolor paper. I am also using the Versafine Onyx black ink, since it is waterproof and the perfect black. I decided I will not use any water to blend my colors, instead, I will blend with two different colors of markers. I noticed that when I use water, the colors fade easily in a week.
Assembling the trifold card
Once I finished coloring, and fussy cutting all my images I started to assemble my card. We start with the front of the trifold, the waves and clouds. I used a combination of glue and foam dots for dimension. The mermaids and all elements on the inside of my card I have adhered with a lot of Tombow mono multi glue.
In the end, I had a lot of leftover colored images, that I used to make many more cards with mermaids.
