emboss resist with solid stamps – valentine card #4
Hello all,
Today i wanted to try out some emboss resist techniques, and i found some stamps that i did not use. I remember buying them at a sale, but then i never found ways of using them. Now i have several ideas.
So for this to work you need two sets of inks, mainly some bright inks, like pinks and yellow, these will be the colors that will shine through the embossing, and some darker colors.
i used several distress inks for this. After coating my watercolor paper with all the rainbow of colors i could think off, i dried the paper with my heat tool. If the ink is still dry all your embossing powder will stick everywhere.
After this i covered everything else with a darker shade of blue and green. The rainbow of colors still shines through, leaving you card with a nice gradient.
If you want to take things to the next level, with a hot iron you can take off the embossing powder. But i am scared of things too hot.
I chose a white card base after initially going with teal. I think it brings the colors more in front, makes it pop.
