how to make a center stair step card – halloween card series 2014
Hello all,
Today we are making a wonderful card, that stand out all by itself. It is a center stair step card. First thing you need to decide on the base card dimensions.
This is my choice: base card: 8 1/2 inch by 4 1/4
Along the length of the card you will do 2 cuts: 1 inch from left and right side and 1 inch from bottom, for 4 and 1/4 up.
With your scor tool, you need to scor from the edge of card stock to the cut line, at 1 inch, 2 inch , and 5 and 1/4 from the bottom of card.
A big scor line is at the 4 and 1/4 mark in between the 2 cut lines.
All that is left now is to fold along the scor lines.
Another feature of this card is the center panel. This one is 3 and 1/2 wide and 5 inches tall.
I decided to blend in a night sky with my distress inks., while masking a big moon. Then i proceded to stamp with black ink my silhouette witch and some bats.
As extra embellishments i used my silhouette machine to cut some trees and spider webs. I used the bubblespark.com digital packs Happy Halloween and Halloween Ghosts
This card is a nice one to make for any season. Go give it a try.
