part 1 autumn leaves mixed media altered frame

Hello everyone,
Today is part one of my mixed media altered frame. I had some frames that i bought at the second hand shop, they where pretty used, but i decided i can alter them, and make a autumn theme.

So at first i sanded the frame to get rid of all the previous paint, and then applies 2 coats of white gesso, This is to protect the wood but also so that the paint has something to stick to.

While the gesso was drying i did my leaves, and i used the Lawn Fawn stitched leaves die, and a lot of distress inks. At the end i misted them with some perfect pearls for the shine.

I think the frame really looks wonderful, and i am glad it turned up just like i dreamed it, a forest in the middle of autumn.

Before i go here is a peek at the image that i will put in the frame:
