watercolor for card makers day #3 – creative stamping – hand drawn image
I always wanted to use a city skyline in one of my cards. But i do not have a skyline stamp. So i decided to draw my own. I used watercolor pencils for this task, as i wanted a firm hand when drawing. (i also used a ruller, just to make sure most of my lines are straight.)
For the coloring of the skyline, i decided that buildings in the back will be more gray and diffused, buildings in the front will be darker. I added more and more color for the high lights, marking sure everything was dry in between steps. After that I closely cut the image.
For the background i knew i wanted an ombre effect but also with a moon in the middle, so i used Jenifer technique with the acrylic block, watercolor and lots of water.
The crisp black sentiment really finishes the card. I added small sequins to make sparkly stars.
