watercolor flowers – hand drawn flowers colored with distress markers

Hello all,

In today’s video i am exploring water coloring, and hand drawing flowers with distress markers. Kind of continuing the saga. In this tutorial however i wanted to see how the flowers look if i use the big brush tip of my tombow marker.

The trick with the distress markers is to scribble some on an acrylic block, or any slick surface if you wish, and then pick up desired amount with an water brush.
I then just drawn the outlines of the flowers, not being precise. Once the flowers and the leaves are done, you need to heat it or let it dry, before drawing the lines with the black marker.

This card looks a bit in the spirit of a mother’s day card also. But i have not yet decided which card i will give to my mom.

Another useful tip, if you plan to add more detail with markers after using the black one, either with distress markers or with the wink of Stella glitter pen, make sure you do not touch the black lines or it will smear. That marker is not waterproof.

Enjoy the video tutorial
