easter egg – or how to make a bulk of cards on a conveyor belt style

Hey everyone,

It seems that this year, Easter is more then 1 moth apart for Catholics and Ortodox Christians. So for me easter will be in May. So that is why i started a bit late with my easter cards. Hope you all do not mind, and enjoy this tutorial.

Like for every holiday celebrations we have to send a gazilion cards to our loved ones. But that is most is time consuming. So what i usually do, is come up with a maximum of 5 designs, and then make around 5-6 cards for each design. Now having one design does not mean you make the same card all over again. You can change the colors, and the base card. But it helps when  you need to prepare the elements in advance.

So this design is for a small card, half of an A5 paper. And the main image of my card , will be one of the eggs in the digital collection from bubblespark.com. I printed these ones out, like 6 on a  page and they make it a nice size.

I do this usually with Picasa software, I just select all the images i want printed, because they are all in separare files, and then i click print, and it will arrange them all on one page, if you click fit to page. My sentiment will be on the inside of the card, and i am using ome of the Amy R stamps. Also for some little added interest i used a postage edge punch from fiskars, and a nice corner punch i got on the 1 euro shop. The sentiment i stamped with color box chestnut roan and color box frost white ink.

Because the egg will be my main image, I decided to embellish it with loads of glitter, glossy accents, pearls and buttons. Feel free to go wild.
