moroccan style window card with ribbon flower – alternative lattice card
Hello everyone,
Today i wanted to present to you a quick card that was inspired by an moroccan style window, the kind of windows you can find looking out to a desert. I love the intricate upper parts of these windows. So I tried to reproduce it in this card.
Part of this card has a flower center piece. In my idea rays of the dessert sun, would come through the window, and give life to this flower, that i made out of ribbon, using a technique presented by crafty nita .
For this version of the card i used a normal base almost square card, 13.8 by 12.5 cm. To the site i die cut a window shape using a normal label die, and my cuttle bug. The patterns on the front are from vintage valentine collection and from fresh summer for the red rays.
The Love sentiment is from Imaginisce, and i embossed it on a pice of vellum using red embossing powder. The leaves for the flower are die cut with some crea tables dies, the english rose collection.
For the other version of the card i have woven a lattice on the window. and based my card durring the night, with some dark blue stars and nice blue sky coming from blue rapsody collection and stars in the evening.
What I did not like about this card was that the lattice did not let the sky beyond show that much, it was too busy.
