Welcome new baby – card making tutorial using a free whale digi stamp

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Hello everyone,

I needed to make a card in order to congratulate one of my cousins for getting a new baby. So I decided to document this in a video. It is an easy card to make because almost all of the designs are digital papers that I printed on my own printer. This includes the main image.

I started with a standard A5 card, that means 14,8 X 10 cm when folded.  The cardstock I am using is a normal 200 gr light blue.

I cut a piece of the blue wave pattern from the catch the wave collection, to the same size of the front of the card. Then another piece representing the sky from stars in the night collection. This piece is about 14.8 cm by 6 cm tall.

I also printed and cut out the whale pattern. This can be downloaded from our FREE BUBBLES. I gave it a bit of interest using a sakura white gel roll pen.

For the sentiment area, I had a 5 cm wide piece of dark blue cardstock from wich I punched a scalloped border punch with my fiskars punch.

The sentiment I embossed with some white embossing powder, and I used my Ek Success powder tool and versamark ink for the job.

To embellish the sentiment, I used some hemp cord and a blue button. And for the whale I used a wood veneer heart, painted with red marker.
